Emerging school athlete Oshini Kodikara of St. Lawrence's Convent, Colombo won the first gold medal of the All-Island Schools Games Athletic Championship on day one of the meet held yesterday at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Sports Complex, Diyagama.
Oshini clinched the Under-20 girls’ long jump gold medal with an impressive leap of 6.03 metres, marking the first top podium finish of this year's event.
