Excise officers impersonating Narcotics Bureau arrested over bribery

Three officers from the Chankanai Excise Office have been arrested by the Northern Provincial Crime Division for allegedly attempting to obtain a Rs. 2 million bribe while posing as officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau.
Police said the arrests were made during a raid carried out following an intelligence tip-off received by Northern Provincial Crime Division.
