COURT ORDERS SPECIALISTS PROBE DEATH AT PRIVATE HOSPITAL

Her husband in his complaint, attributed his wife's death to negligence of the doctors and the staff of the private hospital and requested for justice

The death of a woman who died after undergoing a surgery at a private hospital in Galle is to be inquired into by a committee of medical specialists on court order.

The victim Gaya Sewwandi Ileperuma (41) of Meepawala in Poddala off Galle had undergone surgery in her womb at a private hospital and transferred in a critical condition to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital where she died.
