-
HARD hitting all-rounders Dasun Shanaka and Chamika Karunaratne were recalled to the Sri Lanka T201 squad to play Bangladesh in a series of three matches starting at Pallekele from 10 July.
Also back in the T201 squad are left-arm spin all-rounder Dunith Wellalage and off-spinner Maheesh Theekshana, both of whom were not part of Sri Lanka's last T201 series in New Zealand in 2024-25, while fast bowler Eshan Malinga gets an opportunity to win his maiden T20I cap.
24-year-old right-arm fast-medium bowler Malinga has played in six ODIs for his country but has yet to break into the shortest format although he has played franchise cricket more notably for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the recently concluded IPL.
