Hayleys Fentons Mobility unveils StarCharge EV tech in Sri Lanka

HAYLEYS Fentons, one of Sri Lanka's leading integrated engineering companies, officially launched StarCharge electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions to the local market, marking a major leap in the country's clean mobility infrastructure.

The launch was hosted at the Hayleys head office in Colombo, following the strategic partnership signed last year with StarCharge Digital Energy Ltd., a global leader in EV charging technology. The event marked the debut of Fentons Mobility, the Group's dedicated arm for clean mobility solutions. Gracing the event were Hayleys PLC Chairman and Chief Executive Mohan Pandithage; Executive Director Sarath Ganegoda; StarCharge Energy Ltd. Sr. VP-StarCharge Overseas South Asia Business Head Chenglin Wu; StarCharge India Ltd. Director - Country Head Sunil Kumar Dashora; Hayleys Fentons Ltd. This strategic collaboration marks a pivotal milestone in Sri Lanka's transition to sustainable transportation, bringing cutting-edge EV charging solutions to the local market for residential, commercial and fleet applications. With charging speeds reaching up to 80% in under 30 minutes, StarCharge directly addresses range anxiety, a key concern for EV adoption, while contributing to key UN Sustainable Development Goals including affordable and clean energy, sustainable cities and communities, and climate action.
