Zirkzee welcomes battle for a place as United get close to Sesko swoop

JOSHUA ZIRKZEE has vowed to fight for his place and prove his worth at Manchester United - despite their search for a new striker.
The Dutchman had a tough debut season, after his £36.5 million move from Bologna, scoring just seven goals from 49 appearances. United have already signed two forwards this summer in Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo and are also pushing to buy a proven scorer to lead the attack.
A move for Benjamin Sesko is edging closer. United have opened exploratory talks about the 22-year-old through intermediaries, with no club-to-club contact, and no bid has yet been tabled.
Ollie Watkins is the club’s preferred option, given he has Premier League experience.
