CELEBRITIES have thanked Daily Express readers for giving children "the gift of hope this winter" after more than £15,000 was raised for our Christmas appeal- and you still have time to donate.
UK charity Mary's Meals feeds fortified porridge to some 2.4 million youngsters in 17 countries - a cause praised by Bake Off winner Giuseppe Dell'Anno, TV presenter Jean Johansson and Gary Maclean, a champion from MasterChef: The Professionals.
Giuseppe said: "Your support will help Mary's Meals reach the next hungry child waiting for a daily school meal." The charity feeds nearly 421,000 pupils in 752 Zambian schools every day, for just 10p a head or £19.15 per child over a whole school year.
