ST HELENS kept up their red-hot form with a nine-try thumping of Huddersfield to leapfrog Leigh and Leeds into third in the Super League table.

An eighth win in nine games has brought Paul Wellens’ side within touching distance of reigning champions Wigan in second place.

Mark Percival opened the scoring on 10 minutes, and the Saints took advantage when the Giants were reduced to 12 men following Taane Milne’s sin-binning for dissent.

The hosts ran in three tries in that period through Kyle Feldt, Tristan Sailor and a brilliant solo effort from rising star Owen Dagnall.
