A 99-YEAR-OLD woman found guilty of being complicit in the murders of more than 10,000 people at a Nazi concentration camp has lost an appeal against her conviction.

Germany's Federal Court of Justice upheld the verdict for Irmgard Furchner who was handed a two-year suspended sentence in December 2022 by a state court in Itzehoe.

Furchner, dubbed the "Secretary of Evil", was accused of aiding camp authorities at Stutthof, near Danzig, now the Polish city of Gdansk.

And she was convicted as an accessory to murder in 10,505 cases and to attempted murder in five instances.
