Tractor Boys could cope without Delap

IPSWICH got a glimpse of life without Liam Delap — and it did not look that bad.

With their star striker starting on the bench because of a rib injury, the Tractor Boys jumped into a two-goal first-half lead.

Goals by Julio Enciso and Ben Johnson, who scored in the top flight for the first time in four years, put them in the driving seat.

But an own-goal from Axel Tuanzebe got Chelsea back into it at the start of the second half, before Jadon Sancho’s thunderbolt levelled it up.

By then Chelsea target Delap was on the pitch, and yes, it took some heroics from Alex Palmer, who made eight saves, to safeguard a point.
