Strictly star: I had to learn to walk again

FORMER sprint star Montell Douglas will be going for gold on Strictly - after being told she might never walk again following a devastating injury.
The Olympian, who also appeared as Fire in TV's Gladiators, tore cartilage in her left knee in 2009 and faced a tough recovery process.
A surgeon warned she would never be able to run again, and she was unable to walk at all for three months.
Record
Montell, 38, said: "When you come from running the fastest run of all time, to being told you might never walk, you have to regroup and go, 'Well, now what then?' "I was like, how the mighty have fallen. I had to learn how to walk again.
"But I was doing everything I could on one leg.
