TOP FOOTBALLERS TAKE WORRIES TO PFA
PREMIER LEAGUE players have contacted the PFA to raise concerns about club post-season tours.
The news comes in the wake of Manchester United having just returned from a trip to Asia.
Ruben Amorim’s squad travelled to Malaysia and Hong Kong to take part in two meaningless friendlies — within hours of their last league match in a gruelling campaign.
At the end of the 2023-24 term, Tottenham and Newcastle met in a post-season game in Australia, just three days after the final weekend.
Manchester City and other clubs have also travelled for post-season fixtures in countries including Canada and the United States.
