Starmer 'not doing anything wrong on freebies

SIR Keir Starmer has refused to apologise for accepting freebies - because he does not believe he has done anything wrong.

The Prime Minister defended his decision to take hospitality and clothing from donors, and suggested he accepted £20,000 for accommodation so his son could revise for his GCSEs in peace as the family home became the focus of attention during the election campaign.

Sir Keir also defended his decision to take gifts from Labour peer Lord Alli, saying the freebies did not "cost the taxpayer a penny" - and insisted taking donations was a matter of "judgment" for individual MPs.
