Ange has long-term plan for Tel after his good call

ANGE POSTECOGLOU says loan signing Mathys Tel will be a Tottenham player next season after charming him to sign over the phone.

"I didn't bring him here for six months," said the Spurs head coach.

The 19-year-old Bayern Munich forward hesitated over his move amid interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

But, after deadline-day deal was thrashed out for an £8million loan fee, the France Under-21 international is a set to be in the squad tonight for the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final against Liverpool at Anfield.

It is understood that Tel wants Spurs to take up the option for a £45m permanent deal in the summer and sign a six-year contract.
