MUCH more of this and people will wonder why there was ever a conversation about Wolves bidding to be the worst-ever Premier League team.

Rob Edwards' (right) side made it four league games in a row without defeat and, after starting the season with just two points from the first 18 games, have now taken six from 12.

Four more from their remaining 16 games will be enough to spare them matching Derby's 2007-08 campaign of 11 points.

Jose Sa (circle) remained untroubled in the Wolves goal before he was needed late on to keep out Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton, which was required to earn his side an eighth point of the campaign.

Newcastle have found life quite tough away from St James' Park and another laboured performance in the final third means they have still won just two games on the road this season and missed the chance to climb into the top six.
