'Prince William's school pal plans to surround us with solar panels'

AN Eton school friend of Prince William is locked in a battle with a couple over plans to surround their £1million farmhouse with thousands of solar panels.
Nigel Foster, 63, and wife Crystal, 59, have lived in the 18th century four-bedroom house in Bedale, North Yorkshire, since 1997.
But the semiretired chartered surveyors' “peaceful, tranquil and pastoral” views are threatened by plans for a 113-acre solar farm.
The land is owned by old Etonian Sir Henry Ropner, 43, who reportedly dated Kate Middleton when she and Prince William briefly split.
