PREM IS NOW VAR FROM AN EASY WATCH

I WATCHED Manchester United v Crystal Palace with a couple of mates in a pub on Sunday.

Seriously, during the VAR stuff over the penalty (above and below), all three of us lost interest in proceedings.

And that interest was never really rekindled.

That game was live, so the TV producer had no choice but to show it over and over again and debate it.

But I am waiting for a bold producer of a TV highlights programme to keep footage and analysis of VAR incidents to a minimum.

I want to see highlights, not lowlights.

As a spectacle for the casual TV viewer, the Premier League really is becoming a hard watch.
