PM slammed over reforms to social care

CAMPAIGNERS are demanding Sir Keir Starmer sack the head of the government inquiry into the social care crisis.

The Silver Voices group has slammed the distinct’ lack of progress made by Louise Casey and the Independent Commission on Adult Social Care since April.

Director Dennis Reed claimed that the body, announced by Health Secretary Wes Streeting in January 2025, is being used to delay long-awaited reforms that could prove politically difficult.

Mr Reed said his requests to meet Baroness Casey, or to obtain details of the commission’s work, had been refused.
