People smuggling ringleaders are hit with crime orders

SOME of Britain's most notorious captured people smugglers have been hit with serious crime prevention orders to stop them resuming organised criminality once freed.

The court measure can restrict the number of phones or computers that offenders can access, limit the cash they can carry, require them to surrender passports and compel them to regularly provide financial information.

The National Crime Agency has today published a list of those convicted of organised immigration crime.
