THE man cleared of murdering Jill Dando will appear in court next month accused of raping a 14-year-old girl, 38 years ago.
Barry George has been charged with one count of rape and two of indecent assault, the Metropolitan Police said yesterday.
The Met said the allegations related to a 14-year-old girl who was allegedly sexually assaulted on two separate occasions in September 1987, in West London. The complainant is now in her 50s, a spokesman said.
