FABIO CAPELLO believes England are gripped by "fear" because they have not won a trophy in 58 years.

He also says his "dream" job of managing the Three Lions was made impossible because his players were tired going into tournaments.

The decorated 78-year-old says both factors undermined his chances of success and he clearly feels they are still an issue.

Capello, who led England to the 2010 World Cup finals but came home early, was at Wembley to watch them lose the last Euros final and thinks the fear factor was the reason they failed to end their long wait.
