Leading private doctor got staff to spy on rival's patient records

A TOP private doctor has been suspended after accessing secret medical records of more than 100 patients.

Dr Marion Gluck, 73, a world pioneer in treating hormonal imbalances, asked a doctor who used to work for her for the log-in details to see a restricted area of a rival's website "as a favour".

The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service heard staff at Dr Gluck's London Specialist Pharmacy twice saw private details held by competitor Roseway Labs, before the data breach was discovered last year.

Dr Gluck and Harley Street medic Anu Arasu, 41, who shared the log-in details with her "mentor and friend", were reported to the General Medical Council.

The tribunal has suspended Dr Gluck from medical practice for four months and Dr Arasu for two months, for serious misconduct.
