England duo slam abuse of Wales star

ENGLAND pair Zoe Harrison and Rosie Galligan have warned social media bullies to leave Wales’ Georgia Evans alone after she suffered abuse regarding her appearance.

Back row Evans is known to wear bows in her hair and false eyelashes, but has been forced to turn her accounts private.

The BBC used an image of Evans in a promotional post but it drew “sad comments” from a raft of users.

She and the WRU released a statement, with Evans insisting it will be the only time she addresses it.

Evans said: “The bows in my hair, the tape around my arm, the eyelashes and full face of makeup that I choose to wear has no bearing on my ability, my passion or fight for this game.”

Now her Saracens teammates have shown their support for the 27-year-old.
