Whip ban leaves jockey on sidelines for Sussex
BRILLIANT miler Field Of Gold will have another new jockey after Colin Keane fell foul of British Flat racing’s whip rules.
The Irishman had his punishment confirmed yesterday for going two strikes above the limit when Windlord won by racing’s smallest margin of a nose at Sandown.
Keane, right, was handed a 14-day ban for the July 4 offence, which prevents him from partnering Field Of Gold in the Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes on July 30.
