SCOTT ROBERTSON has faced down a shark - so he had no worries about taking the New Zealand head coach's job when it was put on the table.

The position of All Blacks' coach is one of the most scrutinised in sport and, in this rugby-mad country, he is under more pressure to deliver than England Gareth Southgate.

Robertson, 49, has known he would get the gig since March last year and has been in position officially since November, but he will football manager coach his first Test match on on Saturday against England Dunedin.
