MAURICIO POCHETTINO spent his 52nd birthday absorbing the fury of the fans.

But the Chelsea head coach is willing to take their expletive-laden anger if it means his young players can perform with freedom.

When Brentford went 2-1 up on Saturday, the visiting supporters sang "F*** off, Mauricio", after also singling out co-owner Todd Boehly for even harsher abuse.

The anger was mixed with songs of praise for former owner Roman Abramovich and ex-coach Jose Mourinho.

Nicolas Jackson had given the Blues a half-time lead only for Mads Roerslev and Yoane Wissa to reply for the Bees.
