Georgie's joy as she lifts competition trophy for Wales
WELSH wonder Georgie Brasso rose to the top in the final of The Great British Bake Off last night.
The paediatric nurse, 34, triumphed after going up against Christaan De Vries and Dylan Bachelet in the hit Channel 4 show.
After being named the winner, she said: "This is mad! I can't believe it. It just means everything...
"I have always been so self-doubtful. But for once I thought 'I am just going to go for it and put my everything into it'.
"I am so proud of myself because I have proved I can do it and now I am here today - the winner.
"This is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I am enjoying every single moment." For the signature segment of the show, the bakers had to wow the judges with their scones.
