'Hot cop' spared jail for sharing Nicola details

A POLICE officer dubbed “Hot Cop” has narrowly avoided prison after harvesting confidential details of the probe on missing mum Nicola Bulley to pass on to friends as “tittle tattle”.

PC Molly Bury, 28, illegally accessed the Police National Computer looking for intimate updates about the 45-year-old, whose disappearance in early 2023 prompted a huge search.

Chester Magistrates' Court heard when one friend kept pestering her for more titbits, Bury, based in Blackburn, Lancashire, replied: “I will get in s*** if they see me checking.” She added: “I cannot keep checking. I will get into trouble.”
