Easter abroad isn't all that it's cracked up to be

STAYCATIONERS will deliver a £4billion Easter boost as families holiday in the sunshine at home.

The Easter break will see an estimated 10.6 million snub foreign trips for jaunts in Britain.

Analysis by Visit England reveals the number plotting a getaway over the upcoming long weekend starting next Friday is more than the 6.7 million planning a trip abroad.

And the homespun extravaganza is set to deliver a £3.9billion shot-in-the-arm for the economy.
