Dermot: I've turned down jobs to be with family

DERMOT O'Leary has told how he puts family before work these days, saying: “You've only got one life.”

The This Morning host used to travel the world for months at a time and work at weekends too while presenting ITV talent show The X Factor

But he says his priorities have changed since having son Kasper, now aged four, with director wife Dee Koppang O'Leary.

Launching his new TV game show, Silence is Golden, Dermot said he was no longer interested in working away from home for long periods.

He said: “I’m at a very happy, comfortable stage. You don’t necessarily always have the luxury of it, but I feel like I want to do things now that interest me.

“And I want to do things that fit around my life.
