Dad gets life for shaking daughter to death

A MAN was yesterday jailed for life with a minimum term of 16 years for killing his baby daughter by shaking her so hard that he caused catastrophic brain injuries.

Thomas Holford, 25, had smoked at least five cannabis joints the day before he attacked five-week-old Everleigh Stroud.

She had been left alone in her father's care in 2021 and was "only just" breathing when her grandmother called an ambulance the next morning. The infant died from her injuries a year later.
