Brianna's teen killers to be named

TWO teenagers convicted of murdering schoolgirl Brianna Ghey will be named when they are sentenced, a judge has ruled.

The pair, now 16, were 15 when they stabbed Brianna 28 times with a hunting knife. They were identified only as Girl X and Boy Y at their four-week trial because of their ages.

But the judge, Mrs Justice Yip, said yesterday they will be identified when they are sentenced at Manchester Crown Court on February 2.

Her decision followed representations by media outlets, supported by Brianna's family.

TikTok influencer Brianna, 16, was killed after being lured to Culcheth Linear Park in Warrington, Cheshire, on February 11.
