Andrew's former police consider if they have any details for probe

CLOSE protection officers who worked with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor have been contacted by police investigating associates of paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Searches at his former Windsor home continued yesterday

Detectives have asked the former and serving guards to “consider carefully whether anything they saw or heard” might be relevant to their investigation.

The Metropolitan Police said it was also working with counterparts in the US to establish whether London airports had been used to “facilitate human trafficking and sexual exploitation”.

Yesterday the force said no new reports of alleged sexual offences have been made since the release of millions of pages of documents relating to Epstein by the US Department of Justice.

Its statement came a day after Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and held for 11 hours before being released under investigation.
