'ACTIVIST LAWYERS ARE A BIGGER THREAT THAN GUNS AND DRONES'

SERVING soldiers have "deep concern" about how rights laws are being exploited by our enemies, an ex-Royal Marine has warned.

David Reed, who also served with the Special Forces Support Group before becoming a Tory MP last year, said the European Convention on Human Rights is a threat to national security.

He said he worries about "the pen of the activist lawyer" becoming more a more powerful threat to our forces than a gun or a drone.
