A purple patch for giant UK butterfly

AN elusive species of butterfly, the UK's second biggest, has been spotted at a National Trust estate.
The purple emperor, with a 3in wingspan, was seen at Norfolk's Sheringham Park during a weekly survey of butterfly numbers.
Sightings there had dwindled in recent years but there is now renewed hope for the species.
