£2.5m Lottery rapist's home a burned out ruin with garden full of wrecked cars

'That house was built with blood money. Putman must be held accountable.'
RUST-RAVAGED motors lay strewn across a sprawling plot once owned by Lotto rapist Edward Putman.
These pictures show the convicted sex offender's burnt-out home in ruins - more than a decade after he bought it using £2.5million from a bogus ticket scam.
The property - once worth £700,000 - is up for auction as police try to claw back the fraudster's ill-gotten gains.
Its price tag has been slashed to £300,000 but prospective buyers are being offered Putman's fleet of dilapidated motors to sweeten the deal.
Putman, 57, who got seven years for raping a pregnant 17-year-old girl in 1991, conspired with Camelot fraud worker Giles Knibbs to carry out the theft. But he then cut him out of the deal and refused to pay him his share.
Knibbs, 38, left clues for police after he committed suicide when Putman accused him of blackmail.
Now Putman serving nine years for the con is powerless to stop the sale of the overgrown one-acre plot.
The grounds are littered with corroded vehicles, static caravans and even a shipping container.
