LEE John is planning to beef up his Llanelli Town squad with a string of summer signings.
-
The Reds are busy preparing for life back in the top flight of Welsh club football after storming to the JD Cymru South title last season.
And Llanelli boss John is looking to boost his ranks in the coming weeks as he prepares for a potential assault on the European places on offer in the JD Cymru Premier.
He has already moved for highly-rated Ammanford winger Tristan Jenkins since the end of last season. Now he has an eye on other potential new recruits.
John told the Llanelli website: “Tristan has been a target of mine for about five years.
“I've tried signing him since I was at Goytre United. He’s a very talented attacking player with big potential and the Cymru Premier is a new challenge.
“With hard work and determination, I know he can thrive and score goals for his hometown club in the top flight.
“I've had numerous conversations with the current squad and potential targets and I’m sure the supporters will be very optimistic when they see who's committed to joining the club next season.
“We've lost some players who did very well for us last season but we won't dwell on that.
“The players departing all played important roles at the club and we are very thankful for their efforts and contributions.”
