Vincent leads way as Striders women claim road race top ten

STRIDERS of Croydon faced strong opposition in the Dorking 10-mile road race on Sunday, which incorporated the Surrey Championships and was the third race in this year’s Surrey Road League.

The women did well to place seventh in the team event. Niamh Vincent was the 22nd woman to finish with a personal best of 71:00. Leonie Hondeborg was 49th (78:27), Alex Legge 65th (81:58), Maili Singh 94th (90:33) and Yasmin Anderson 107th (95:39). Striders’ men placed 17th in their team event.
