Man charged with murder as victim named

THE man shot dead near Purley Way in Croydon has been named by the Met Police as detectives leading the case charge a man with his murder.
Police rushed to reports of a shooting on Imperial Way near Costco at just after 5pm last Thursday (June 19).
There officers and paramedics found a man in his 40s. Despite their best efforts he was pronounced dead on the roadside shortly after.
A forensics tent and large police cordon remained in place between the superstore's car park entrance and the loading bay of Selco into Friday.
