Inspectors praise 'good' school

A PRIMARY academy in Crewe had good news from Ofsted.

Hungerford Primary Academy, on School Crescent, was told by lead inspector Lee Comber, who visited with two other Ofsted inspectors, that the quality of education at the school was 'good' as was the behaviour and attitudes of the children, their personal development, the leadership and management of the school and the early years provision.

At a previous inspection the school was found to require improvement.

Staff greet pupils warmly asking how they are and checking they are ready for the day ahead, according to the inspector

The school is ambitious for its pupils who are expected to work hard in lessons. A wide range of support is provided to those who need help to keep up in their learning.
