Plans revealed for ex factory site in the city

FRESH plans have been revealed for the former Sandvik plant in Coventry.

It is no secret that Lawton Tubes wants to move onto the former factory site in Tile Hill.

Earlier this year it was revealed that the thriving Coventry-based copper pipe firm had bought the whole site at Torrington Avenue.

It has its HQ across the road from the factory which closed in 2023.

Now a new, full planning application asks for the go-ahead for the erection of a warehouse, car parking and service yard.

Also two sprinkler tanks and pump house, electricity substation and housing to accommodate HV Switch.
