Jack could be back for Albion clash

JACK Rudoni took a major step to being back fit for Coventry City when he was out on the grass at Ryton for the first time yesterday since suffering a calf strain.

The Sky Blues star - one of the team’s best players - has been missing for eight games and will again be absent for today’s top-of-the-table clash at Stoke. But there’s clear light at the end of the recovery tunnel, with the 24-year-old on course for a return when Frank Lampard’s men host West Bromwich Albion in the first match back after the international break.

“We're hoping he’s fit the other side of the international break,” confirmed City’s head coach. “It was a possibility that he could have been back before but it was never clear.
