Coventry Telegraph
|April 12, 2025
NUNEATON and Bedworth council has said it will not offer help to Birmingham City Council amid bin strikes.
Bin workers who are members of the Unite union have been out on strike in Birmingham since March.
It has left mountains of bags of rubbish left piled on streets in the city.
Its council has asked neighbouring authorities for help to try and collect the rubbish but Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has said it will not help.
Councillor Jill Sheppard, cabinet member for the environment, made the statement at a full council meeting at the Town Hall.
