Council customer services dept is moving to Library

Cllr Richard Brown, cabinet member for finance, said: “We want to retain face-to-face customer services for our community and the Central Library is an ideal central venue which is very accessible.

“The move will bring all customer services alongside the wide range of library services and we hope it will make it even easier for residents to access council services and library facilities in one convenient location”

The move will also mean the library, in Smithford Way, will be closed to the public on Tuesday, August 26. It will reopen alongside the customer service centre the following day, Wednesday, August 27.
