City feeling better after flu worries

FRANK Lampard is hopeful that Coventry City are over the worst of the flu bug that has ripped through the club's Ryton training ground.

The virus has affected five Sky Blues players to date, forcing them to sit out matches in recent weeks, while the City boss admitted to not feeling great himself on Boxing Day when two of the three affected against Southampton returned to the side to face Swansea.

Liam Kitching and Tatsuhiro Sakamoto were back in the starting lineup for the narrow 1-0 CBS Arena victory over the Swans, although there was no sign of centre-back Bobby Thomas who, it has been revealed, has recovered from illness but is now carrying an injury.
