LIAM Reed has handed Carmarthen Town a major summer boost by pledging his future to the club.

Reed has been named club captain for the forthcoming season as boss Mark Aizlewood looks to assemble a squad capable of challenging for promotion back to the JD Cymru Premier.

It is a further boost to the Old Gold's ambitions, coming after leading marksman Liam Thomas and first-choice goalkeeper Lee Idzi also confirmed they were staying at the LHP Stadium for another campaign.

Reed said: "I have loved every minute of playing for Carmarthen and had no hesitation in re-signing.
