SONY UPDATES ITS BIG HITTERS

SONY has a couple of megastars that have received the upgrade treatment this week... there are new versions of the company’s flagship smartphone and over-ear headphones.

Both are excellent upgrades on what went before, with new features and enhancements across the board - here are the details on both.

XPERIA 1 VII

Sony's best smartphone was already a winner with mark VI, but the new model is, as expected, an upgrade in all departments.

Sony is in something of a unique position in the mobile world in having the ability to draw on its dedicated camera unit (which makes the Alpha series of cameras), its display department (Bravia TVs), and audio experts (from the Walkman team), for cutting-edge tech.

This results in some neat innovation and some high-level specs.
