State develops rapidly with women empowerment : Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha

Interest-free loans were distributed to women members of self-help groups from various Mandals of Andol constituency in Sangareddy district on Tuesday.

The program organized by Mahila Unnati-Telangana Pragathi Mahila Sangam was attended by Telangana State Medical, Health, Family Welfare, Science & Technology Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha as the chief guest and handed over the cheques. Real change in society can only come if women are made aware. He said that women empowerment is the main goal of our government.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that interest-free loans worth Rs. 4.52 crore have been distributed to 4039 women's groups in Andol constituency and a total of Rs 18.25 crore to 15909 groups in the District.
