On Saturday, the minister laid the foundation stone for the Mahila Shakti petrol pump works to be set up at a cost of about Rs 5 crore under the joint auspices of the District Mahila Samakhya and Indian Oil Corporation Limited as part of the Indira Mahila Shakti program near SLBC Colony in Nalgonda district headquarters.

The minister recalled that women are currently coming forward in all fields and that when he was a legislator in 2004, loans of up to Rs 15 crore were given to self-help women's groups in each village. He said that the public government gives top priority to women and provides the benefits of all schemes to women, especially free electricity, free buses, Indiramma houses, and fine rice as examples. He urged the members of women's associations to work together.
