Professional forces not affected by “setbacks or losses”, results are important: CDS

A professional armed force is not affected by “setbacks or losses” Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan said on Tuesday in continuation to his recent remark that India did suffer “initial losses” of air assets due to tactical errors during Operation Sindoor.

"When I was asked about losses on our side, I said these are not important. The results and how you act are important. It would not be very correct to talk about losses," the CDS said at an event here.

He was explaining his remarks during his interview to Bloomberg a few days back in Singapore, where he responded to a question on Pakistani claims that six Indian fighter jets were downed during the operation by saying, "What is important is that, not the jet being down, but why they were being down."
